YOUR
Genius Edge
Diagnostic
✦ ✦ ✦
Find out what’s actually keeping you from more clients and more money — which role you’re playing in your business right now, and exactly what it’s going to take to become The Headliner.
You’re a coach, a creative, an expert — and somehow you’re also the chief marketer, the chief content creator, the chief lead generator, the chief sales person, and the chief of everything else it takes to build a business that actually works.
There is no shortage of things you COULD be doing. The question is — what should YOU be doing? Right now. In your business. At this stage.
Because here’s what gets lost in all the noise: everyone is out there telling you what THEY did to build their business. Their formula. Their system. Their path. And it can feel like you’re constantly looking around at what everyone else is doing and trying to figure out which version of their strategy is going to work for you.
But YOUR business isn’t built on someone else’s formula. It’s built on YOURS.
Think of your business like a Broadway production. For it to sell out night after night, run on your terms, and generate the clients and revenue you actually want — you have to become The Headliner — the name on the marquee, the one the whole production is built around. This diagnostic is going to show you exactly where you are in that journey — what phase you and your business are in right now, where your biggest bottleneck is, and what to focus on first so you stop doing all the things and start doing YOUR things.
Show Up. Stand Out. Get Paid.
Which role are you playing in your business right now?
The name above the title. The one people buy tickets to see. That’s not a result you can get on this diagnostic — it’s what we build together.
The Three Elements of Your Genius Edge
Your unique gifts, lived experience, and personal story — and how clearly they’re showing up in your brand, your messaging, and the work you do.
Your offer is the HOW — your signature transformational system for getting people the outcome they want — with pricing and a business model that reflect the real value of that work, and a clear, validated path to consistent revenue.
How consistently you’re attracting ideal clients, nurturing your audience, and making real offers — the daily actions that make your business actually grow.

Hi — before you read a single word of what’s below, I want you to know something. Every coach, creative, and expert I have ever worked with has been exactly where you are right now: talented, capable, and a little unsure what to focus on first.
The point of this diagnostic isn’t to tell you what’s wrong. It’s to show you what’s actually in the way — because it’s often not what you think — and what to do about it, in order. Read it like a conversation with someone who sees exactly what you’re capable of.
The Yellow Brick Road is my framework for how a human-centered business actually works — and it’s the reason I can tell you what’s in the way instead of guessing. But before the road, one truth that everything else is built on: the only people who will ever pay you are the people who have a problem they really want solved, or an outcome they really desire — and what you’re selling is that solution, that outcome. Not the people who come to the free stuff. Not the followers. The ones who want the result. And your offer is the HOW — it’s how you help people get that outcome. That’s the transformation. It’s why you need a signature transformational system: so that when you tell someone you can help them get where they want to go, you can also show them how — not “we’ll have sessions,” not “I’ll give you information,” but an actual process you created and are an expert in. Every business that pays you well and feels like yours runs on three parts, in order:
ATTRACT — the right people find out you exist. Not everyone. The RIGHT people — the ones you’re best at helping. It starts with Your Genius: what you’re best at doing when you bring all of you forward, and the specific outcomes you’re best at helping people get. Then it’s getting out there — content, conversations, other people’s stages — in front of enough people that the right ones find you.
SERVE — those people get to know you, trust you, and experience your work before they ever pay for it. Personal outreach and follow-up. An email list you actually write to. Workshops, talks, and content that give people a taste of the transformation — not just information. This is where relationships are built — and relationships are the whole game.
CONVERT — warm people become paying clients. An offer that’s dialed in — your signature transformational system, the HOW — pricing that reflects the value of the work, real invitations, discovery calls that flow, and the ability to convey what actually changes for someone. Selling is serving. This is where your business becomes real.
All three have to run together. When one part is stuck, everything downstream stalls — and most people go to work on the wrong part. Here’s where yours is stuck right now:
Not enough of the right people know you exist — and here’s the part most people get wrong about it. They think it means they need a huge audience, more content, more posting. They don’t. An ATTRACT bottleneck always means some combination of three things. First, clarity — and it’s the very beginning of Your Genius Edge. The people you’re meant to attract are the ones who have the specific problem you’re best at solving, or the strong desired outcome you’re best at helping people get. Physical. Tangible. Real. If you can’t say exactly who that is and exactly what changes for them, the right people can’t recognize you — and no one can connect you to them either. Whatever offer you have, that clarity underneath it is what has to get sharper. Second, conversations. Most people with an ATTRACT bottleneck are relying on social media — the long play. Keep doing it, but it is never the fastest route to clients. The fastest route is human beings: personal outreach, direct contact, in-person, real conversations with as many people as possible — and not only discovery calls. “How can I help?” conversations. Conversations with colleagues, with people who know your ideal clients. Anyone who becomes your client in a human-led business is someone you’ve talked to, and the first conversation is rarely a discovery call. That’s how businesses actually get built — and it’s why the clarity matters so much: knowing exactly what you’re best at helping people achieve is how you know what to say in every one of those conversations. Your first job is knowing where your people actually are — where are you attracting them FROM? Third, visibility — and visibility is not just posting. It’s being out in the world in as many ways as possible: events, rooms where your ideal clients go, referrals, collaborations, other people’s audiences, speaking — telling as many people as you can what you do. Your clients come from conversations. And you need an aligned lead magnet, a free resource built around the exact problem or outcome your ideal client wants, that moves the people you meet from social, from conversations, from someone else’s audience onto your own email list. That’s how they step onto your Yellow Brick Road instead of scrolling past.
People find you — and then nothing happens. They follow, they nod along, they don’t move closer. Most people misread this as a lead problem and go looking for more people. It isn’t. It’s a relationship problem. We’re in a relationship-driven economy — buyer trust is lower than it has ever been — and trust gets built person to person: reaching out to the people already in your world, following up, staying connected, and finding ways to support them before they ever pay you. It gets built when people can experience your work — a workshop, a talk, an email that actually sounds like you — and feel a taste of the transformation, not just information about it. And it gets built by content and messaging that keep sharing your point of view and growing your authority. That is high-touch, human client creation — and it’s how strangers become people who trust you enough to say yes.
Your answers show something rare: all three parts of your Yellow Brick Road are running. The right people find you. They trust you. They say yes. So there’s no broken step to fix — and that changes the work entirely. This is now a STRATEGY game. It’s about taking Your Genius Edge — your genius, your offers, your show up strategy — and optimizing it: looking at where your offers, your pricing, your messaging, and your visibility can each be adjusted, together, while staying in alignment with your values, the lifestyle you actually want, and serving your clients at the highest level — always with an eye on profitability. It means walking your own Yellow Brick Road and asking where the optimization is: is what you’re putting out attracting your ideal clients? Are your workshops, talks, and emails lined up with your offers? Is it the offer, the way you sell it, or how you show up in front of people? It means improving your launch strategy instead of running it again the same way. And it means resisting the thing almost everyone does at exactly this point: deciding you need MORE — more leads, ads, a new offer — before you’ve really looked at the business you already have. Your next level is almost always an optimization, not an addition.
The people are there. The trust is there. And they’re still not becoming clients. This is the one that fools the most people — it looks like a marketing problem, so the instinct is to go get more leads. But the leads were never the issue. It’s the sales process. Either the offer isn’t dialed in (what exactly changes for someone, and what does it cost?), or the invitations aren’t happening — nobody is being asked into a real conversation — or the discovery calls are happening but you’re not conveying the VALUE of the work in a way that lets someone say yes. And the one that’s easy to miss: you may be attracting people — just not the people this offer is actually for, because what you put out speaks to everyone instead of to the specific problem and outcome a paying client wants. The offer, the message, and the person have to line up. Selling is serving. When you believe in your offer completely, a clear, confident invitation is the most generous thing you can do for someone who needs it. Withholding it is the disservice.
Here’s something I’ve learned from twenty years of building businesses of my own and coaching hundreds of coaches, creatives, and experts to build theirs:
Most people think their problem is marketing. More content. More visibility. The right funnel, the right hook, the right sentence starter. And so they go looking for a template — someone else’s formula — and plug it in and wait.
That’s not what I do.
I’m a business coach. Which means I look at the WHOLE thing — your business model and whether it actually fits you. The choices you’re making about who you serve and how. The audience you have and the one you’re building. Your offers, your pricing, the way you sell. And underneath all of it, the inner work that makes any of it possible — because you cannot build a business you love from a place of doubt.
My clients build boutique, high-touch, human businesses. Businesses that work because they’re built on a real relationship between you and the people you’re meant to serve — not on ads, not on volume, not on pretending to be someone else. Businesses that give you the right balance: work that lights you up AND a life you actually want to be living.
That’s what the diagnostic you just took is pointing you toward. Not a hack. YOUR next move — and someone in your corner while you make it.
